The cave of Govinda Bhagavatpaada is associated with Sankaracharya. According to legends, it is the place where Sankaracharya had met the sage Govind Bhagwatpad and took his diksha and spiritual education under the sage. The cave encompasses a main hall and a sanctum with a Shiva Linga.
