The Cactus Garden is one of the most popular sightseeing attractions of Ratlam, situated in the premises of the Sailana Palace of the town. It is situated 21 km away from the district of Ratlam, on the Ratlam-Banswara Highway. This garden is 50 years old, while the Sailana Palace where it is situated, is 200 years old and in a poor state.
The Cactus Garden portrays a wide variety of cacti in their different stages of growth and colours. Its collection of over 1200 species of cactus, with 50 species being Indian, is considered to be the largest one in Asia. Some of the important species of cactus present at this garden include bell cactus, bulb cactus snake cactus, old man cactus, peacock feather cactus, etc. This place is also popular for its culinary tradition.
