Bandhavgarh National Park, the most popular national parks in India is located in the Vindhya hills of the Umaria district in Madhya Pradesh. Declared as a national park in 1968 The Bandhavgarh National Park is spread across the area of 105km2. The name Bandhavgarh has been derived from the most prominent hillock of the area of Umaria. The area of Bandhavgarh is being flourished with a large biodiversity, the place which is also being framed to grip highest density of tiger population in India. Similarly, the park also beholds the largest breeding population of leopards and various species of deer. Over the years, the park has shown a great number of increases in the count of the tiger species and this is the reason why tiger tours is so famed to attract large amount of tourist at its vicinity.

Bangavgarh Park Timings:

Bandhavgarh National Park remain open for visitors from 15th October to 30th June. The safari timings are:

Safari Zone:

There are 04 different zones of the national park from where travellers can Enjoy Jeep safari rides. Vehicles Permitted to enter inside the national park in each shift:

 Note:

At Bandhavgarh afternoon shift of Jeep Safari remain close for visitors on Every Wednesday. Morning & Afternoon both the shift remain close on Holi festival (In the month of March).

 

There are some inportant details which are required to book safari:

  • Full Name of every visitor
  • Age & Gender
  • Nationality
  • Any Identity proof details like Passport, Driving License, PAN Card or Voter
  • I D Card. Visitor is required to carry the same ID proof in original at the time of visiting the national park.

How To Reach ?

REACHING BY AIR

The nearest airports are the Khajuraho Civil Aerodrome (250 km) and the Jabalpur Airport (190 km). Both are well connected to major cities like Delhi, Indore, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

REACHING BY TRAIN

The closest railway stations are Umaria (37 km), Katni (100 km), Jabalpur (190 km) and Khajuraho (250 km). These stations are well connected to major cities.

REACHING BY ROAD

You can get to Bandhavgarh by state/private transport buses or by car/taxi from Umaria (37 km), Jabalpur (190 km), Katni (100 km) or Khajuraho (250 km).

* (There are 2 safaris in a day, one morning and one evening, Wednesday Evening is holiday).

* ******** Due to scanty No. of safaris, we strongly advised to book safaris almost 90 days before to Avoid any inconvenience.

Other than Park entrance ticket one has to pay Vehicle charges & guide fee separately. At Bandhavgarh National park in a single day jeep safari can be done 02 times. One in the early morning hours & the other one in the late afternoon by using 06 seated open vehicles. In each vehicle 6 passengers were allowed to visit along with one naturalist/Guide and one driver. Limited no of vehicles are permitted to enter inside the forest in each shift. It is advisable to book the entrance ticket before 90 Days to avoid any chance of unavailability of Jungle safari.
